Re: What is the range of the receiver?
For people with less than 50 keypads or those who always use keypads in situations where people are sat in rows of chairs rather than round tables, the below is probably not a concern. You can generally vote from up to 20 metres away with no issues at all. We wish we had a really easy answer to this...

Re: What do I do if ppvote doesn't automatically appear in the add-ins tab in PowerPoint?
First check which version you are installing and your PowerPoint version. All versions prior to v5 are only compatible with 32-bit PowerPoint. If you install version 4 on a computer with 64-bit PowerPoint, the Add-ins menu will not appear. Please contact support@clikapad.com if you need an updated i...

Re: Can you set a countdown timer for votes rather than counting the votes coming in?
You can set a timer for a number of seconds within which to vote rather than counting the votes coming in. Generally we recommend that you set this for 10 seconds. Read out the question and then start the timer when you are happy for people to start voting. Go to Add-ins > CLiKAPAD > Slide Editor an...

Re: Can I change where the graph is positioned and how big it is?
The graph can be positioned wherever you wish. Go to Add-ins > CLiKAPAD > Slide Editor and choose the Graphing tab. Then click on the Set Graph Position button. This will give you a full screen preview of your slide. Use your mouse to resize/reposition your graph. Then click on the x at the top of t...

Re: How do I know that the keypads are working?
Before every live session, we recommend that you test your keypads. There are two ways to do this. One is to simply start a vote and use the keypads to cast votes on the first voting slide. Whilst the votes cast box or countdown timer is on screen you can display which keypads have not voted by pres...

Re: Can I test my presentation without keypads?
Yes, simply run your presentation full screen as though you are presenting live. When you get to your first vote, press a number on your keyboard. This must be a number that would be accepted on a keypad, so for example if your vote has 4 answer options, you must press 1, 2, 3 or 4. You will see a p...

Re: Votes cast box is in a bad position. Can it be moved?
Yes, it can be moved to any position on the slide. You cannot change the size/appearance of it and you cannot remove it. It needs to appear on the slide for the voting to function. To move it, go to Add-ins > CLiKAPAD > Slide Editor and click on the Options tab. At the top left you will see a button...

Re: Can I use my keypads with an Apple mac
Not easily but yes, it's possible. The voting software is for Windows and PowerPoint. In order to use the software on your Mac, you would need to be running Windows on the Mac. We do this by using Parallels on some of our team's Macs. Your IT department should be able to advise you but if you need a...
